Wind Advisory In Effect: Storm Knocks Out Power To Some In Westchester

More than a hundred were left in the dark on Monday morning as whipping winds knocked out power to local residents.

As of just before 10 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 129 of Con Edison’s 348,198 customers were impacted by four reported outages. One NYSEG customer in Bedford was also without power.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory, which will be in effect from noon Monday until 2 a.m. Tuesday, April 16.

Winds are expected to reach 25 to 35 mph, with gusts topping 45 mph. The NWS warned that the strong winds may down limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages can be expected.
